In a search to understand her family traditions, Hilda Pries discovered the importance that sheep and wool played in the survival of her grandparents and the generations preceding them. Since then, she and her team of colleagues has researched these traditions in order to preserve and popularize them through the products now made available to you.

"In The Heirloom Wool Company, we have set about to rediscover the traditions of the European immigrants to the northern Canadian prairies. My own tradition is Mennonite. My neighbours are Ukrainian, Scottish, French and German. Each of my neighbours’ ancestors brought with them their old-world ways of keeping warm in the harsh climate of this northern land."
